Your voice is very much an extension of the self and identity. To have it fail can be devastating. The benefits and wellbeing brought about by a fully functioning and confident voice simply can’t be overstated. I will work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, to help build up confidence and vocal resilience. I can attend the voice clinic with clients, and work with your speech and language therapist and others in your team. I am training in counselling skills, and am trained in manual therapy, advanced anatomy and other topics, and whilst qualifying, work under the supervision of top speech and language pathologists and advisors on vocal health.

I work holistically in a bio-psycho-social model to rediscover the positivity and joy in your vocal performance. In other words, I work not just with the simple mechanics of singing, but with the whole person in front of me.
After diagnosis and initial treatment
Once diagnosed, treated and advised by ENT, your clinical team and I can work together to get you back to being the best singer you can be.
Vocal ‘Prehab’
If you suffer from fatigue after singing, I can run through the sound tenets of safe vocal technique with reminders on breathing and alignment and a healthy, balanced phonation to prevent injury occurring in the first instance.
Evidence-based programme
All of your vocal training exercises will come from thoroughly researched vocal practices, with keen attention to the most up to date thinking about safe and healthy vocal use.

It should not be stigmatised or judged, and nearly all vocal functional problems can be resolved one way or another. Once suitable medical treatment has been sought, I can take over the reins and bring confidence and a long-term partnership to see the singer through to full performance again.

One-to-one Vocal Health and Rehabilitation
Online or in-person
One-to-one singing lessons and vocal health and rehabilitation work for those who are recovering from vocal injuries or setbacks. (I am qualified in vocal health and habilitation. Rehabilitation work is currently under supervision during qualification and further training.)
Vocal Health Workshops
Online or in-person
Choral or group workshops focused on safeguarding the voice during busy or high intensity vocal periods. I can take your choir through the steps they need to take to stay as fresh as possible, with purpose-built warm-up and cool-down strategies designed to fit the project in question, and with presentations on the most up-to-date thinking on best vocal practice.
