You simply have to believe that the content of what you are saying and doing is absolutely going to keep them on board. You can’t read the room in the same way as in a ‘real’ in-person environment, you need a whole load of new strategies.

This course includes everything from technical tips to improve your posture, presence and delivery to the psychological help you need to really trust and believe in yourself when you are not getting the feedback from the room that a performer normally needs.
Body and Voice – How you look and how you sound
We will work on acknowledging the differences between the screen world, talking to a machine and the real world, talking to people. We will cover breathing and alignment with some vocal tips on how to use your voice well in a situation that lends itself to unsupported speech and poor physical presence.
Strategies
We will look at strategies for mixing it up and keeping people’s attention. Keeping sessions moving, pace, energy and keeping the communication direct, dynamic and active.
This session will be interactive, with participants delivering their own presentations and receiving useful feedback; a chance to apply the techniques learned in session 1.

There’s no getting away from the fact that online meetings are less engaging than face to face. How could you help with this?
There may be fewer of the recognisable signals that we all rely on in the physical presence of people, however they are there.
